Just wondering which monsters everyone likes to use?
I generally play Elemental Champions, using Aquosia or Hurricanus but last time I tried Empire of the Apes and had great fun with Gakura. What about everyone else?

I'm currently learning Sky Sentinel and Nova ESR. Nova is a blast (no pun intended). Sky is a bit harder to figure out, especially with a lack of proper air forces. But I'm having a lot of fun learning the game and figuring these two out.
I was thinking mole men, but planet eaters is really catching my eye. I think they will be my next army to build. Shadow Sun looks interesting and I'm only a few units shy of a proper army for Zor-Raiden.
It all will come eventually. Awesome game, sad I missed the hay days, but I'm really excited to be a part of the revival!

Sky Sentinel is a great monster but, you're right, a bit tricky. You definitely want to get G1 Fighters and Choppers as those units have great synergy with his abilities. You'll want to keep Sentinel back, behind screens, while you use Lightning attack to hit opposition from range. You'll also want to get a repair vehicle or two to keep your health up. Sky Sentinel is unlike some other monsters in that he is best when he sits back rather than jumping in and throwing other monsters through buildings.

Lords of Cthul! (Note the Hello Cthulhu avatar.)
I have all the alphas (and morpher) and have been rediscovering the joys and woes of each lately.

I'm hoping to get Planet Eaters up and running soon. I just want to Rampage through everything and punch stuff!!!!!! I'm pretty sure Marwan has a bunch in his juicy box of mini's... Nova ESR is pretty damn fun, again, those repair bots will be very handy as well as GUARD bases for telephoning stuff around.
Note my avatar, I always pick the wrong time to stop sniffing glue!!!!!

It sucks! Our first match I fielded Zor Raiden and an uber hacked army I slapped together from some boosters I picked up. We both blew the rules royally and I ended up getting spanked because of some nasty meat puppet healing. Spending the extra A die to summon out of faction units and having no clue what I was doing, combined with what ever buildings I got from boosters, I was clearly at a massive disadvantage. But I was determined to learn and play.
The Dice were in my corner, even Evan's Dice were rolling in my favour. But the cheater healed multiple times a round (it was rather funny thinking back on it). The game took forever because of the constant symbol look ups. In the end, I died despite my efforts and even tho, I still had a lot of fun. Reflecting back on that first match is when I realised it was a good idea to get some brawlers.

Get some cards printed!! I highly recommend it. It makes the game waaaaaay quicker and enjoyable. I ordered mine through somebody on boardgamegeek.com. They were a little pricey but you get cards for everything including buildings and even maps. I'll try to find the link and post it. Otherwise, I noticed someone else had a link to cards you can print yourself.

I posted the link to an online database for cards. I have all the units for Shadow Sun and guard shrunk and printed double sided on card stock. All the buildings fit on 2 2sided sheets, minus faction buildings. I also made a flip card with Sky Sent and Nova on either side. Cut off the excess paper then "laminated" each page with packing tape.
You can get each faction unit on one double sided card including the faction installation. I leave it up to the other player to remember their own crap ^_^
That streamlined our last few games. I really need to post my findings to Marwan's Google file share. I've been basically obsessing over MonPoc for the last 3 weeks. I feel like a Vulture going after everyone's extras. But someone has to be the Janitor. I figure it puts a few bucks into people's pockets, frees up enough shelf space for some new filler games AAAANNND everyone has a new sucker to punch in the face... Figuratively... Hah, so wasn't intending that last pun!!!!
